Who we are?

TRS 16 is more than just a business—it’s a family legacy rooted in a passion for sports, education, and community. For generations, our family has been deeply involved in athletics, with athletes at all levels and a strong tradition of teaching and coaching youth sports.

The current generation of Ruiz sisters are dedicated softball players who, over the years, faced the frustrations of using equipment that wasn’t quite right. From gloves designed for older players to cheaply made, overpriced gear that just didn’t hold up, they struggled to find the perfect fit.

That’s when their dad, an engineer and amateur coach, decided enough was enough. With a knack for problem-solving and a deep love for the game, he started designing gloves that would meet the specific needs of his daughters—gloves that were comfortable, durable, and built to perform at the highest level.

What began as a personal solution quickly grew into something much bigger. TRS 16 was born, and we’re proud to offer high-quality, custom-designed gear that helps athletes of all ages and skill levels perform their best on the field.
